Default Bricasti M1SE

Hello
I currently have a Bricasti M3H paired with a M25. The intent with the M3H was to utilize headphones and listen to DSD recordings. Neither really has materialized. I am thinking of upgrading to the M1SE since all my listening is to PCM. I am looking for some feedback on how well the M1SE sounds driving the M25 or any Bricasti amp directly since it does not have the analog volume control like the M3H. Appreciate the input.
Thank you.

It is made to drive a Bricasti AMP and will sound fantastic. Whether it’s better than your M3H is something you should try to audition. I have heard both. The M3H is a bit warmer and laid back. The M1SE is a detail monster. What are you looking for?

If you are worried about the digital volume, can you swing an M21??

I have an M1 Limited Gold, paired with an M25, driving YG Acoustic Carmel speakers (86 db efficiency). It's a great combination. As I listen strictly to digital, I have no need for a preamp particularly when keeping the digital volume of the M1 at peak effectiveness.

To have the least digital volume impact, it's best to keep the M1 volume display in single digits at peak listening volume. The M25 has an adjustable gain, which I have turned down a couple notches to best enable. If you are using the M21, or an M1 with an M12, you likely don't need to consider this.

In summary, great combo made to perform well together.

Thank you both for the feedback. I received by M1SE on Wednesday.
