Hi folks, new here but not to McIntosh, I m Bigjoe on Agon & PanheadXR290 on AK ,as to the C-2500 ,I'm pretty hard on gear, not physically where I throw it around but where I push everyting beyond it's limits ,I've beat the crap out of my C-2500 for 2 years now ,not 1 issue ,Mc-1201s,MCD-550 & XRT-28s are the main gear ,I liked the C-2200/Mc-1201 combination with Roger Russells white XR-290s so much I took 15 years off McIntosh ,the C-2500 is what brought me back in it's so good .

C2500 arrived today and I am thoroughly enjoying it thus far. I made sure it has the latest updates and should be good to go. Ironically my parasound pre lost a channel today. How strange is that timing wise? Serendipitous I’d say.

Torxx-

Congrats on the 2500. It is a great match for your 452 and will compliment the rest of your very capable system. The DAC is "not too shabby" either! If and when you need more DAC versatility you can always add a separate.

One other suggestion if using USB, a shorter cord may prove more relieable than say a 5 meter cord. No need to get too crazy unless you want too.

Listen in Good Health!

I love my 2500, bought it used here a few years ago and it’s been flawless...knock on wood! Congrats on your purchase.

Since my lockup earlier in the year with the C2500 I haven't had an issue. AudioClassics serviced and returned quickly.

I love my C2500 even though I don't use it the DAC section. Solid as a rock since birth! If you find a good 2300 I'd say go there. Pick your tubes and don't look back!
