Default Drinking through the UK ......

Just returned from a great two weeks in Scotland, 5 distillery tours and a cooperage visit. Capped it off with 18 @ St Andrews. Mother nature cooperated throughout, less than two days of rain !

A few pics to share .......... 1 rare bottle of Glenlevit, if you have 30k laying around it can be yours. The cask from Tomatin is 50 years old, you'll have to add a few more zeros for that one ! Ahhhh, the tasting room @ Aberlour, I saw to it that the 'Angles didn't get their share' !

Nice pics. That sounds like a very cool vacation. Aberlour is one of my favorite's. Did you make it to Macallan?

No, Oban (bought a bottle of their limited edition, 6000 bottles at the distillery), Tomatin, Glenfarclas (love their 15 year old), the Glenlevit and Aberlour.

I only purchased whisky that cannot be bought here in the states.

checked off another item on my bucket list .........standing atop the Swilcan bridge on the 18th @ St Andrews.

Very cool, I'm a bit jealous too, I love Scotland - and a wee dram occasionally as well.

Sounds like a great trip. Which was higher....... your score at St. Andrews or your sporting clays?

Dave, outstanding trip and photos. That's on my bucket list... St. Andrew's and plenty of fine adult beverages! I've got a bottle of the dalmore 18 that I'm itching to pop open. But to experience all that in Scotland would be amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Mitch
