Dan, the XP-15 looks like it could be the equivalent of a Swiss army knife with the flexibility of various loads, rock solid reliability and consistency of SS. Looking forward to your impressions of course! Congrats, I'm sure this phono stage will be a trusty companion where-ever your vinyl travels take you in the future.

I have really enjoyed my EAR324P SS phono stage over the years for those same reasons. It will stay in my gear collection as a back up or for future expansions and additions. It is up to the task and is worthy of being in the chain with the rest of my gear any day.

restock........I made an inquiry to Pass Labs about using balanced interconnects versus single ended. Their replay today: "The Xono did sound better using the single-ended outs, but the XP-15 is better using the balanced. That was one of the changes from the Xono to the XP-15." I am happy to know this. I will be connecting my XP-15 to the C2300 preamp with balanced Wireworld Silver Eclipse 6 interconnects.

Congrats ! I know you will love it. I love my XP-25. Best of luck with it. I run balanced out too. Greater amount of gain via the XLR's versus SE output.

No doubt...those separate power supplies eat up valuable rack space. I'm still trying to figure out what I will do if I upgrade my pre-amp to the 3 chassis XP-30 pre-amp...

I've been happily using my Pass Xono for six years now and feel that it is still "good enough" for the long haul. Your newer/improved unit should serve you well for many years to come.

Mine is silver too - maybe we could send our units off to be anodized black.

Julian.......Good to know you are happy with your Pass Xono. Lots of good press on that phono preamp. I am expecting excellent performance from the XP-15. I am getting darn good vinyl playback performance from the MC phono stage in the C2300. It is impressive, expecially with the Telefunken tubes installed. I have been told he XP-15 will outperform the C2300, so we shall see. I'll learn to live with the silver face, or I will hide it.
