Would it be a safe assumption that ken Kessler will be replacing his Sophia 2 with the new Sophia 3 ?
I couldnt open the link but did he state that all aspects are better in the S3 vs the S2 ? any negatives about the S3 compared to the S2s ?

Here is a quote from Ken Kessler review verdict:

"... Just as Sasha shocked listeners in 2009 so does the third Sophia represent a disproportionate juml. Sophia 2s remain magnificient; I could live with then for the rest of my days. But the gains in bass authenticity and presence, the impact of the extreme treble and overall coherence of the '3 are simply dazziling. A major cup indeed. "

Also, from sidebar article you can learn directly from Dave Wilson that Sophia Series 3 is completely new speaker:"... All that remains from Sophia 2 are the woofer's voice coil and cone. The rest is all new. "

No, he did not identify and negatives of the Sophia 3 versus the 2's.

I think cases for and against a given writer reviewing the next version of a product he already owns. That reviewer would be familiar with any strengths or weaknesses of the current model. He could probably identify incremental changes that someone making a cursory listen would miss. That said, by owning the product the reviewer shows a predilection for that type of sound.

Hey Aerosmith dude,

Just a quick question. What is the exact name of the paint colour you have on your Sophias? It's seriously cool, the way it seems to change in different lights, and I want orange Sashas, but they've told me there's 2 different orange colours available?

Thanks,

Keyser

Karrusel Orange. I'm told it's an Aston Martin color.

Glad you like them. I was just listening to them this afternoon.

Good to see this post again. It is the one that got me into AA and to buy Sophia 3s. Listening right now amazing.

Aren't they? I think I must have them in a very good room for bass (concrete under wood flooring) because I'm always blown away by the fullness and depth these speakers are capable of. Not to mention the pinpoint imaging and sweet, natural mids.

Hi, guys...I've bitten the bullet and I'll be a Sophia club member, soon, too. AeroSmith, I saw your reference to The Mann, etc...are you still in the Philadelphia area? BTW, your color is very cool, and I really like some of the shots you took...particularly the one where the far speaker is in focus, and the near speaker is not. Well done...
