I've heard both, and the Alexia is in another league. I'm biased towards Wilson, but I really don't think anyone who hears both would disagree very much. The Alexia does cost 25k (ish) more for a reason!

I listened to the 802D3 vs Alexia and have to say I would not spent the +$30,000 on them. I think you would at this time need to sit down with both the 800D3 vs Alexia and do some critical listening. Your visual explanation months ago in Seattle of the 800 D3 doesn't quite cut it. To be honest I heard the 802D3 vs. the 35K Sonus father and would not spend the extra $13,000 on them. |

IME, the B&W's also present a larger sound stage, though perhaps slightly less pin-point definition. Last edited by Art Vandelay; 09-29-2016 at 11:06 AM. |

The B&W's are certainly a better value than Wilson and many other brands. But a better comparison would be the B&W 800 vs. the Sasha. I'd still say the Sasha wins, but again, I'm biased. And it's true that i haven't spent a lot of time with them, and certainly not with the exact same electronics. That's hard to arrange.
I'm not trying to take anything away from the B&W's, they are great. |

I will say though that Alexias can be now had used for approx 25K on audiogon.... I would think twice or thrice before I'd buy the 800D3 if I saw an Alexia for that price, especially if in great condition in the color I wanted OR if local... |
