These amps had very tight operating tolerances and generally require servicing from a knowledgeable tech on a somewhat regular basis. They are excellent amps and are very dynamic.

I am curious (if you know) how the Proceed BPA 2 fits into that. From what I have found, which is next to nothing, it is basically the same as an HPA 2 with about 1/2 the power (125 wpc).

I sold my ML 331 and bought the BPA-2, they do sound very similar. I also read the BPA-2 is Class A for the 1st few watts, which is more than I ask of it in it's current system. I usually listen at around 60 to 70 dB, which is probably closer to 0.1 watt.

The ML had a very slight hum, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to afford to repair it if it ever had a serious problem.

I bought the ML for $1,800 sold it for $2,300 and bought the Proceed for $700. So that worked out well, and I don't have to worry about having so much (to me) tied up in the one piece.

I do miss how cool the ML looked though...

Hello Lakesailor or anyone else that may have the Proceed HPA schematics/repair manual. Can you please provide those to me. I recently acquired an HPA 3 with the center channel out. Also, I was hoping to check offset and bias.

Thank you!!

Not sure how you last three posters are going to communicate as none of you are subscribers. Need to "join up" in order to communicate. Well worth the nominal fee.

Good point. It does look worth it indeed. I am now a subscriber. Can anyone help me out with obtaining a repair manual and schematic for the HPA 2/3?

Many years have passed ... you would have the schematics of the Proceed HPA. I have a 3 channel problem and I can't get this schematic anywhere ...... Thank you very much!

New to the Forum , however a long time ML user !

I have a No432 which both Voltage gain boards were replaced after a power surge at huge cost of $4,000 (Insurance claim so this ok ) and now working perfectly.
I now have an issue with a No433 which has developed a crackling sound in the left channel .
Gone in for repairs and all the usual things been done to eliminate this , however it is the PC board which has to be replaced .
Harmon say discontinued and no longer available .

Anyone out there have one or know where I can get one ??

Appreciated !

Alsof
