Nice. How does the Cremona Center work with the Elipsa? Especifically when you listen to SACDs with L/C/R channel distribution at 1:1:1?

Not an absolute perfect match but close enough to where it goes mostly unnoticed at all.

His room sounds fantastic and looks better in person than the pictures . Serge's home theater has demonstrated the potential of a full sonus faber theater and I would not need anything better than his set up. I am considering doing sonus faber in my home theater .

Thanks... I've been trying to find a single Elipsa with no luck. Thought about getting the Cremona Center but I don't think I'd be satisfied with the result. I've been trying to create a system where I would have three identical speakers for the front 3 channels, which is the hardest part. If I could find someone who's also looking to build a multichannel system using 3 Elipsas, the problem would be solved by splitting the cost....

The sf center speaker sounds very good with the Elipsa. 3 Elipsa's might be overkill for movies. For stereo listening imaging is so good you only need 2.

I don't do theater, I mainly listen to classical and the traditional two channel stereo can't come close to listening to SACDs with 1:1:1 L/C/R recording with identical speakers. There's really no concept of "imaging" for live performance, and likewise if you have 3 identifical speakers you don't think about "imaging" because the center performers are just... there, regardless of your listening position.

The Cremona Center is $5,500 with its obligatory stand, street price.
The Cremona M is $10,000 a pair street.
The 1/2 Elipsa would be about $8,250 street ($16,500 a pair).

I would rather pay a little extra and get a single Elipsa than a CC. I'd also consider a used pair of Cremona M's ($8,000 used) and just use one of them, but I can wait as I'm in no hurry... but if anyone's interested in splitting the cost with me on the Elipsa, lemme know
