Default Krell Evolution One's

Recently moved and my listening room is quite a bit smaller than what I had before. I am driving a pair of Dynaudio C4 Signature's and was thinking of moving to a pair of smaller Sonus Faber Guarneri's. However my biggest problem is although I love the sound, the room starts to cook after a short while. Those Class A One's throw off a ton of heat but sound so wonderful....
I am thinking Class AB Monoblocks. Anything out there comparable to the Evo One's or should I just listen in my unsderwear, lol...

Hello shpritz. You NEED to consider Pass Labs amps, the .8 line bass slam is like the Krell bass slam and the mids and highs are to die for. They works heat but no so much as yours Evo One's.At this moment Pass Labs is "IT" in audio.
Hope this helps

If he wants less heat, how is he moving to pass?

And the evo ones are one of krells best... I'm not sure just any pass will do, it would have to be the xs series.

My rec would be something like the momentum?

Yes, joey_v is correct. Don't want more heat in my room otherwise I would stick with the Krells. Looking for something Class AB. Not sure about Class D. Want to definitely avoid tubes as well. Thanks.

The 600.8 Class AB monoblock's only works in Class A the first 50 watts.I know this model and know the Evo One's, i assure you that with the 600.8 you have less heat and a terrific sound too.
Read this review in comparison with an XS 300 and tell me after...

I have a Krell Evolution 302e and I can attest that these bad boys give off very little heat.
After hours of solid listening at a decent volume, I can put my hand directly on the unit and it feels just warm.
Its an excellent consideration. I love my Krell.
Best of luck. Keep us informed.

I'd recommend you try to get a loan pair of A-B monoblocks to compare. How much of the sound you love is acutally dowm to the amp compare to the rest of the kit ? This switch may have a small (or large) difference - I can't see how you could make this judgement based on opinion especially given the cost involved if you get it wrong. BTW I also have a 302e - it's a nice piece of kit but has probably made the smallest improvement of my recent upgrades - for what it is worth... I'd love to try the Evo One's in my system
