Hi all, I'm using a pair of Focal Diablo monitors with the accompanying factory stands. I've replaced the factory spikes with 4 Ultra SS on each speaker stand per the installation instructions. The improvement was immediately apparent and significant.
Now I'm wondering if, given the Stillpoints function of converting vibrational energy to heat, that I might realize better results attaching the Stillpoints directly to the base of the monitor (where presumably the vibration is the greatest) and also directly coupling the Stillpoints at the interface point between the speaker base and the top of the stand.
The Diablos connect directly to the stand top via three bolts. This would limit me to using only three Ultra SS on each speaker rather than the four that I'm currently using as replacements for the factory stand feet. In addition, I will need to source the proper studs for coupling the Ultra SS to both the speaker and the stand.
Does anyone have experience with a similar monitor/stand situation?
Thanks, Mike
