Hi,
how's the sound coming along? Hope it's all up to expectation! Good luck. *Btw.why didn't you go for REF2SE or REF10 PH to match your REF40? |

Yes, C37 meets my expectation.
I have tried many before. But this one is the best combination of price-sonic-flexibility and also the quietest, free from hiss and just only slightest 50Hz hum. LAMM LP2.1, good sound, poor flexibility, quite loud 50Hz hum. REF2SE, good sound, greatest flexibility, slight tube hiss and hum and very expensive. Aesthetix Rhea Sig, good sound, great flexibility but made loudest tube noise. Burmester 100, good sound, very flexible, quiet too, but very expensive. C37 is very neutral, it doesn't have tube's glow and it doesn't have anything. After constant 60 hours of play, yesterday I was very impressed that the sound out of inverted RIAA feeding from itune was very much like a direct connection. Felt like there was no phono stage in between. I think after 100 hours I should stop burning in and explore its music capability more fully. Toga P.S regarding hiss an hum of various units I mention, pls understand that my speakers has very high voltage sensitivity, and that always make any kind of hiss and hum more clearly heard than usual. |

Are you happy with your C37.
Now i´m using the AD30 in my C2120, but it´s my plan to get the C-37 someday :-) |

Yes I am. Never heard analog as good as this in my whole life (i.e. since my first TD-125 / SME 3009 in May 1969)!

I'm not really that keen about Nagra (pre)amps. However I love my Nagra VI recorder. Martin |
