Qsonix vs Sooloos - Speed comparison?
I posted this on another forum and thought that some of the users here might also have some useful feedback:
I was wondering if anyone had a chance recently to compare the interface speed of the current gen Qsonix system vs. the current Sooloos system? I know firsthand how the latter is very fast and has always been a big selling point of the product. I have seen a video here and there of the Qsonix, but was wondering if anyone has spent long enough with both of them to say how they really compare on the speed department. In the end, it's not as much a question of which is fastest but rather if both are fast enough not to have noticeable lag, hiccups, loading screens, etc. I've never run into that on the Sooloos but only had limited experience with the Qsonix, and that was several years ago.
Separately, I'm curious about how Qsonix's iPad app performs in terms of speed. I'd guess that it's not as fast as the directly wired touchscreen, but by how much? The current Sooloos app isn't worth talking about since it's so lackluster and we won't know about this aspect of the new one Meridian has in development until it is officially released.
Any feedback would be welcome.
Thanks!
Jeff
