Default Burning Software

As one who is still stuck in CD for playback but having the ability to play SACD and DVD-A, what software do you use to burn hi rez files to a dvd-a.
What’s the best format to choose from…flac, wav..???
Thanks to all that chime in.

Can't burn SACD or DVD-A easily. Are you willing to go geek for it? CDs are easy. Just use iTunes.

I can't think of any software that can burn the high-res properly. They will all transcode to 16/44.1.

I understand that when the digital file is burned to a dvd, there is an amount of sonic loss.
Ive never paid much attention to my purchase of black cd's or dvd's, just looked for the best price.

Ive heard that manufacturers such as Taiyo Yuden are the best and Im wondering if i would be able to hear a difference.

As long as there is no transcoding of the root file, you should have zero loss.

The high end recording discs are basically, in the simplest of terms, supposed to be more resistant to degradation over time and far more compatible in a myriad of players.
