Angry Car warranty phone calls
Is there anyway to get these idiots to stop? I am on the national do not call registry and I block each number every time

:lurking It has gotten to where I never answer my phone if the exchange (area code) is the same as mine unless I know the number. They are clever and persistent as hell.

Funny, just today the IRS called to tell me they are taking my home and a warrant has been issued for my arrest.

I just heard from the IRS robot this morning also, but you guys are getting off easy, they’re going to issue a warrant for my arrest for fraud if I don’t call back today.

I haven’t been able to find a way to stop these spam callers. They’re all computerized of course, so that even if you block a number, they just roll to another one, and can spoof any area code or local exchange. For the IRS calls, I checked the IRS website and they refer you to a Treasury site where you can report them, but it’s only for reporting if you’ve actually fallen for the scam and lost money. Can you believe it, there’s even a section to report if you’ve sent someone money a second time, and a warning not to use iTunes gift cards.

Sometimes the number is only a few digits off from my number. Very annoying.

I would get a lot of unwanted calls, I installed app called "Call Protect" from the Apple store (free). Makes identifying unwanted call and blocking them very effective, check it out
