I was impressed with how this simple system sounded. But then again, I love the sound of B&W 805D3.

They sounded ok, but at $4000, IMO, there’s better choices.

I thought the Carver demo sounded very nice. Very large soundstage - both horizontally and vertically. It’s surprising how much the towers contribute to the lower frequencies. He disabled the towers and played the sub alone. If I had to guess, he had the towers and sub crossed over at maybe 45Hz.

I mentioned the Carver room tonight while having dinner with my brother. He said it’s “one of the best in show” for him.
