External PSU not in the picture.
I've seen a bad back picture of 2110, looks like 2010. 6 XLR inputs, two XLR outputs and it looks like 1 XLR tape out, but it could also be two, the picture is really bad. 1 PSU input to the left at the bottom unit, and PSU input to the right at each top modules. What's new inside 2110, maybe a new gain module 995 or something else? Last edited by wizard; 08-08-2013 at 11:37 AM. |

Wizard, last time I spoke to Rich he told me Boulder had tested all the sub-assemblies which all measured better than the 2010, so the 2110 should be very good. I haven't heard Boulder developed new 995 gain stages. My guess is they're using a version of the new 99H used in the 3050 mono's. Rich told me they based the design on the 2010, but that "the 2110 should be an improvement over the existing 2010 by quite a margin."

As far as the power supply and back panel, I imagine that it all will be cleared up AFTER the Hong Kong Show and certainly in time, say, for RMAF....

WOW.....is this perhaps from the Hong Kong show???? I wonder how this lightweight systems sounds?? HAHAHA
Since the Wilson's are not bi-ampable, then I wonder what the middle 3060 Stereo amp (between the 3050's) is doing?? I see some outer amps that are likely powering the subs.... Cheers, Last edited by ILUVAUDIO; 08-09-2013 at 09:54 AM. |

2150 inside. New gain stages, doesn't look like them used in 3050. I think they also are installed in 2110. Last edited by wizard; 08-09-2013 at 07:28 PM. |

Here is another slightly grainy photo of the 2150 mono's. It looks like the 2150 has picked up design queues from the 3100 series including the new damped circuit board mounts & what appears to be a new version of the 99H gain stage. Boulder always stamp the model designation on the top of the their gain stages, so I zoomed your photo above Wizard & can make out what appears to be the engraved designation "99H2", thought i'm not 100% sure. Perhaps someone with better photo software can give it a try? The 2150's should give some insight into the design philosophy of the 2110

I now wonder if people who attend this year's RMAF will have the ability to hear the 2150 and 3050's at the Boulder factory, both with the 2110...should be a sweet listening experience either way!!! Cheers, |

You were a bit quick off the bat quoting me buddy! I've added a bit more info to my post in the last few mins For the 2100 series, Boulder have clearly put their focus and investment into the audio side. Rich told me the guys in the factory hate machining those curved chassis parts! They are a pain in the arse to build actually
