Default Stillpoints now gracing my 2301s

Based on the many favorable reviews and comments of others on this forum (thank you folks), I made the plunge and installed 4 Ultra SS (in anodized black) under my Mcintosh MC2301 amplifiers. Once installed, I was a bit shocked by the degree of elevation to the sonic performance this mod has made. Perhaps even more shocking was the immediacy of the improvement - as others have mentioned, no break in time required. Suffice to say what I have observed so far with recordings I know well:

-bass has tightened up even further, with no discernible "bloom" at all
-soundstage expanded
-voices/vocals with improved "you are in the same room" kind of immediacy and articulation
-blacker sonic backgrounds
-little nuances in the recordings shine through

Andrew.......Congratulations on improving the MC2301 performance with the Stillpoints Ultra SS in black. My experience parallels yours on my MC2301's. Stillpoints are the real deal.

Andrew , Congratulations with your stillpoints. They look good.

Can only say i just tried some Sort Kone from NordOst under my amplifier
( Accuphase E-470 ) and my experience is the same as yours. It was already on a Pagode stand with footers from Cerapuc , so didn't think it could give much improvement.

I think its a very good upgrade... have actually thought on Stillpoint under my speakers.

Welcome to the club. I have them under my speakers, amp, and preamp and my experience is the same as yours. Looks like you replaced the stock feet with yours, pretty cool.

+1
I have all my system "koned" and the results are amazing.
In my oppinion the best results are achieved mixing TC and BC in the same chassis
Best
