Well, I do think Ayre make great products, and their service seems to be pretty good in their home market. Can't say the same for their overseas dealers.

They're kind of stuck there; Ayre is awesome but ultimately a poor dealer can torpedo every effort the folks in Boulder make.

It might be worth trying to reach out to Ayre directly via email to see if they have any suggestions.

I agree with the overseas dealers, here in HCM Viet Nam the dealer I purchased my QX 5 from I have contacted several times regarding the display not reading correctly and have asked them to come out and check it to no avail, on the other hand Michael is always helpful and informative when he picks up the phone even offer for me to send the unit back to Boulder so they can replace the display. The display doesn't show a full 3 or T,s our not fully crossed which does not effect the sound what so ever so I will not be sending the QX 5 back to Boulder for such a minor issue.

Unfortunately, i will not be getting any more Ayre products in future. The local Pass dealer or Octave Audio dealer is from experience way better and their products ain't too shabby either.

If the local dealer is that bad, I don't blame you. But let's not paint with too broad of a brush. Ayre's dealer in Singapore, for example, is amazing.

I totally agree with Bar. That goes for most companies. International distribution isn't always easy even if the parent company is outstanding. How many great British products have they tried to bring into the US, but they never took off due to terrible distribution companies who weren't able to service the products. Doesn't mean they aren't great products and that the company doesn't stand by them.

Also, there are some folks who for whatever reason, don't have any positive chemistry with a company and they may fall through the cracks. It's easy to say that's on the company, but maybe it's not all on the company.

Make sure to write Ayre a long letter/email detailing precisely why.

They can't correct issues they don't know are occurring on the other side of the globe.
