I use 36 tube traps of various sizes in my room. They are remarkable for what they do. I wouldn't be without them. You won't be sorry.

So the seller would take $200ea for the 4ft X 9in tube traps with stands. I'm thinking I would need at least four and six would be better. It is however a pretty long drive and the blue is just all wrong if they were beige, silver, or gray I wouldn't hesitate one bit. Hmm, what to do?

Can't help you with the ones on stands Don. I have 4 footers stacked 2 high around the room to give me floor to ceiling coverage. Well almost, ceilings are 9'. You can then tune the room by turning the traps to diffuse or absorb. And a difference you will hear!

I wouldn't buy something you're not happy with now though. You'll probably be sorry later. The blue is kinda different. Especially if it doesn't go in your room. I have all tan ones except in the corners behind the speakers. I added massive and heavy 24" diameter units in black for a little contrast last year. They go down to 20Hz. They are hard to move by myself and it took 8 months to get them.

I've acquired 23 tube traps over the last couple months along with 8 sound panels. I've learned that a properly treated room makes a tremendous difference in sound quality. In fact, I am of the opinion that a mid-fi system in a room with good acoustics sounds better than a hi-fi system in a room with poor acoustics. The ASC tube traps helps to get the acoustics in order. I plan on acquiring at least a dozen more next year ranging from 11" to 24" (I've eaten up my hi-fi budget for this year).
