Jim, that is awesome. I can hear change and I can hear "locked in," but I have a hard time deciding if a change is improving or getting worse until it is fairly extreme. That makes finding "locked in" a bit hit or miss for me.

Randy, I have to admit that my ear's making a best guess based on an assumption or two about staging placement and proportionality, tonal balances, dynamics, and other characteristics of the program material I use for reference as I move the traps around. If the presentation in one configuration comes across as more coherent, cohesive, and makes more sonic and "visual" sense than in another, that determines trap location and orientation. In that respect, it's somewhat "hit or miss," so you're not the Lone Ranger.
