Default What's the premium method for streaming?

What's the premium method for 4K streaming?
My Mc MX122 doesn't stream netflix or amazon.
I've swapped my feature rich Sony Bluray players for OPPO 203 and 205.
Lately I've been using my OLED LG TV which isn't bad. Very easy to use, perhaps a little noise is introduced but nothing too bad. Eventually it'll be swapped out for a SONY 885 laser projector so that won't' work.

What is the best option for streaming? Roku, Amazon, NVidia Shield? Do I need to find an old OPPO on Ebay? Or do I need to have a new Sony 4K player that sits on top of my OPPO 205?

Apple TV 4K has excellent streaming quality. According to this youtube comparison, the picture quality is very close to a blu-ray disc. Sound quality is a different story though.

I'm on the cusp of ordering the nVidia Shield Pro (basically the Shield with 500GB of storage) based on what I've read around the Net. There are several "good" options out there, but most of the reviews, testimonials, forum posts, etc that I've found have pointed to the nVidia Shield as the best 4K + HDR streaming platform available at the moment.

I'd love to hear contrasting opinions, but unless there is a eureka moment, I'm headed down the nVidia route for streaming 4K HDR in 2018.

What is the difference between the Shield (remote only) for 179, and the Shield for 199.99?

Does the more expensive one come with the video game style controller AND the normal remote?
And does the cheaper one eliminate the video game controller?

Apple TV 4K for best video

NVidia Shield for best possible audio

I have both. Some 4K movies are available for rent/purchase with full Atmos soundtrack. For these, I use the Nvidia shield. Otherwise I use the Apple.

One advantage Apple has is that you can upgrade the power cord. When I did this I noticed an improvement in picture and audio quality !
