AJ, I have Studio 2's. As far as what drives them...... ARC LS-27, Plinius SA-102 or Rogue Audio M-180 Mono blocks, depends on my mood and the time of year. Right now (summer) the 'Plinny' is 'in the house' ..........

Replacing my Bryston Model T's. Best speakers available for under $10k in my opinion. The Salon 2's are just at another level.

I have heard great things about the Brystons but did they need volume to come alive? That is the only knock that I am aware and I believe from only one source so that is still at question.

Actually, I think they sound great at low volumes too. I really can't say anything bad about them. I need to find a good home for them soon!

Personally, I think they are the second best (behind the F208s), but this is the Revel forum and I want to keep it friendly.

In truth, I've never heard the Ts....you could be right, but I have to find a home for my F208s as well. I better get on that so admitting there may be better stuff out there for the money is not in my best interest! Not that I think there is, mind you!

Best of luck to both of us selling our pre-Salon training wheels. They are great speakers!

Interesting, for I felt just the opposite, there was no 'wow' factor at low to moderate levels

Agreed Lew, IMO, the F208's are the best 'box' speaker under 10k that I've heard to date.
