The set-up procedure for the new DB Subwoofers is intriguing.
B & W has the manual on their website, but it does not provide a lot of detail other than referencing using the App to set it up.

It would be nice to have more information about the range of adjustment for the different parameters as the app appears to be the only means to access the controls.

In particular:
What is the range of filter choices for the low-pass crossover?
What other parameters can be adjusted from the App?

seems I'll have to wait untill november to be able to set up my new db3d

according to google play store the app is compatible with android 5.0.
In the b&w manual : the app needs minimum android 7.0
????!!!

Very unprofessional...

I agree that they should adjust the info in the Google Playstore if that info isn't correct. They do mention 7.0 in their manual. For the time being I would suggest to use the phone of somebody that you know that has 7.0 or iOS 10.

By the way, my colleague has placed his DB2 behind the left speaker and it sounds great. It sounds perfectly integrated with his 804's. Very easy to switch the calibration on and off, so it's easy to hear what the calibration has for an effect

Why wait until November to get a recent Android phone? Why would B&W need to support a 3 year old Android os when they launch a new device in 2017. The app should be future proof and better start to build from a recent Android os.

I asked like +- 20 people today...No one with 7.0 or IOS 10..
and no update possible for my type of phone.
Very convenient app indeed !

It's like buying a new car and not be able to fill it up without having the latest system on your phone to run the filling-up-app.
Perhaps asking other people if they can fill up a jerrycan for me...?

So angry that I'm seriously thinking of returning this product.

Hi susu,

Please check your private messages for an update on how to resolve your issue. For everyone else who's interested, we've checked the app with Android 5.0 on multiple older Android devices. They at times run slow depending on the age of the hardware, but the app works.

Regards,

How come all 3 subwoofers are rated the same frequency response ?

Frequency range (-6dB) 8.5Hz - 500Hz
Frequency Response -3dB (centred on level at 100Hz) 10Hz - 350Hz
