You can find the stats on the web. None of the streaming services are profitable yet. CD sales have tanked. If/when Spotify offers lossless streaming
that may win over more audionuts but how many of us are there compared to the MP3 generation? It's all still pretty murky.

At 65, I resemble that remark. I'll likely purchase some Hi rez downloads but really would like to see lossless streaming simply for the convenience .
