FinePix X100 | Fujifilm Global

Lots of info here. It appears to be an amazing camera with ISO capability matching (or exceeding) that of the very good D7000.

I've had one for a few months and I love it - especially now with the 1.13 firmware which addresses many of the early issues. I like it so much that I sold my Leica M8.

I have that cult point and shoot digital camera, the Fuji F31fd, and I absolutely love it. It goes with me everywhere. The recent pic I put up up Lucky the Cat last night was taken with it at ISO 1600!

I've been very intrigued by the X100, but have read about very slow autofocus performance and flash card read/write times. Alberto, have those issues been addressed with the firmware updates?

I use a Sony Cybershot, 12.1 mega pixels.
It does an excellent job and if it does get Lost one can simply replace it without loosing a great deal of money.

I just took this pic. of "tiger" the Maine Coon Cat and myself a minute ago for {Puma Cat} member on another Thread.

Actually Cathy (Wife) took the picture.
It will give you some idea of what it does.

Picture is not enhanced at all other than re-sizing.

Wow, you sold the Leica!

I don't have a X100, but my 5-year-old S5Pro still can't be beat by other dSLRs in terms of colour and dynamic range. I love Fuji!

Well, the technology is advancing fast. The new Canon 1Dx is mighty impressive.

I agree with you about advancing technology. The S5Pro is slower, less sharp, less accurate, less efficient, and more noisy. But, no current sensor can deliver what Fuji's SuperCCD SR Pro sensor can in terms of colour and highlight retention. Fuji's skin tone is dead-on without tweaking. You can recover 3-4 stops of blown highlight from the Fuji. You can't with a Nikon D3 or Canon 1D.
