Bill.......I have had a half dozen different McIntosh preamps in and out of the living room system over the past four years. At this time I have the C2300 in that system driving the MC601's.

The living room system has included the following preamplifiers: C40, C42, C2200, C2300, C1000C/T, and a C1000C/P.

Keith.......You can see a small wall mounted CD rack next to the couch behind the studio door. The remainder of 1000 CD's or so are stored upstairs. Every CD I own is also installed on the MS750 music server in the living room system and the Olive 04HD in the studio system. Both the living room and studio systems have their own Sonos ZP90, so I can stream Internet music from MOG and Rhapsody, too. I keep my vinyl stored upstairs in a cabinet, but have 20 or more albums leaning against the wall in the studio at all times waiting for a spin.

There are two McIntosh XLS112 powered subwoofers that round out the home theater system, along with the Sony 52" XBR widescreen television.

Very nice setup. It is obvious that you planned well. The two seperate systems on two separate racks is how I have my room set up as well, except that I have a pair of XLRs running from my HT pre/pro to my 2-ch preamp for HT bypass, as my two systems share my front speakers.

How tall is your 2-ch rack? It looks to be very tall.

Here's a closer look at my Michell Gyro SE turntable with the SME 309 tonearm and Ortofon Cadenza Black moving coil cartridge. I also use the Michell Never Connected power supply for the turntable motor.

Anthony.......Thank you. It sounds like your system is set up similar to mine. It is a great way to go.

The two racks are from VTI A/V Furniture, and are 42" tall. Each shelf is rated for 200 lbs. It is a stout rack. I added the caster option so that I can move them if needed.
