Your best drink recipe?
OK, so I'll start it out, especially since we have summertime just around the corner.
How about some of your favorite mixed drinks? I'll go first with two: Mangotini 2 Parts quality Vodka (Ketel 1 or better, Chopin preferred) 1 Part Peach Schnapps 1 Part Perfect Puree of Napa Valley: Mango Puree Combine all ingredients into a c0cktail shaker and shake until cold like the arctic. Serve up in a chilled martini glass. Garnish with mint sprig. E's "Millionaire" Margarita 2 Parts 100% Agave Tequila, Anejo preferred (Centenario, Don Julio are good) 1 Part Cointreau 1 Part Grand Mariner Centenaire (for float) 1 Lime (per person/drink), Squeezed 1/8 Naval Orange (per person/drink), Squeezed 1 Dash Nectar de Agave (ok if you don't have, but it is nice to put in) Mix all ingredients except Grand Mariner. Shake and serve on the rocks. Rim glass with salt, if you prefer, but not needed. Float Grand Mariner. Garnish with slice of lime. Enjoy!

A small warning to the lightweights out there - either of those drinks approach you with extreme stealth, and go down way to easily in great weather.

I've always enjoyed a good Long Island Iced Tea.
1 part vodka 1 part 1800® Tequila 1 part rum 1 part gin 1 part triple sec 1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix 1 splash Coca-Cola® Mix ingredients together over ice in a glass. Pour into a shaker and give one brisk shake. Pour back into the glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top. Garnish with lemon. |

I'm also quite a Long Island (native Lonnnn Gisland) fan. Yours with the tequila is a bit more 'Texas Tea' (some people also call it long island, though). Instead of the big five I typically just use the big 4...
Equal Parts ofthe booze: Vodka (good stuff, please, again, K1 minimum) Rum (10 Cane works best) Gin (Ten, Hendricks, or even Sapphire) Cointreau 1 Lemon, juiced Splash Diet Coke (for some reason I think this tastes better...) Mix all alcohol together, pour over rocks, float fresh lemon juice, float diet coke. Serve and consume immediately. Have close friend nearby to "have your back."

Yeah that's why I love em. Some bartender friends of mine have made me forget parts of the evening... I was lucky to make it back to the hotel room.

Hey Emile!
Great margarita recipe. By the way, I've got a setup that might rival MasterLu's if you look at this picture. The wet bar's behind the left speaker, and I've got the Little Emperor trained to fix 'em up. On top of that I can supervise from the comfort of my listening position of the recliner. Life's very good after an afternoon mowing the lawn! PS: The picture is blurry because of the exposure time, not the fact I'm on my second 'rita.
