The nice thing about having Roon plus a Tidal subscription is that you get the equivalent of over 1 million CDs and not having to worry about storage. (And it only costs $20/ month!)

Yep. My purchases of CD's has dropped by 95% with how nicely Tidall/Roon is integrated. Culling my CD collection to keep the clutter of CD cases to one rack is now much easier. The SQ of Tidal especially the MQA tracks is icing on the cake.

I almost stopped adding CDs to my collections since I had Roon. The main reason is I already have most of what I want when it comes to classical music historical recordings, and on Tidal/Roon I can listen to the new releases.

Having said that, until DG/Sony/UMG team up with Tidal to provide an all-in-one lossless service, my CD collections are still a valuable treasure to me, because only so few of my CDs are available on Tidal. And to be honest, I don't think that dream will come true very soon.

Your collection is like over 625 days of 24 hour music, that’s more than a lot
