Just reuse them.

Dyns love good power and TBH few AVRs have good quality watts. You might be better off getting a cheaper/preowned AVR with pre out and hook up a decent power amp. Or share the power amp from yr stereo setup with a HT bypass.

If budget is tight, the Emotivas are pretty good deals.

hmm can please lecture me on this, if I do opt for a separate power amp-- will the "sound" characteristic be coming from the power AMP or from the (pre-out) of the receiver or from BOTH?

Yeah, I'm actually looking at those Emotiva gears..

I'm not discounting that preamps matter but for the HT section, the power amps IMHO are a limiting factor and Dyns do crave good power.

So using external power amps do help with that aspect.

My friend uses Emotiva for his Dyn HT setup (Focus series) and he's quite happy with them.

I would suggest the xpa-2 from Emotiva or a parasound classic 2125 power amp, I use an Integra 40.2 but my L/R speakers are powered by my Naim integrated amp that has a ht bypass. The preamp/prepro will have the most affect on the sound.
