Dynaudio - All there is.

Not really worth the hype, but then again I'm not sure that surprises anyone

Respectfully, I think you guys are thinking too conventionally. I think it's really cool....think about just needing a source and speakers...that's it. I think there's much larger set of customers who will love this than the "traditional" audiophile".

As for me, it's a solution looking for a problem.

Different customer segments have different sets of customer needs. A lot people probably wondered at first what one would use an iPad for. I think there's lots and lots of people who want high-end quality sound. They want their system to be simple, clean, elegant and fit in with their décor and have minimal clutter, not a snake pit of interconnects, speaker cables, amps, DACs, etc. There was no way for them to get this before. I think this system would be very popular with women buyers.

I like it a lot and can easily see it as a second system for many of us, a second system with no need for a new amp or preamp is pretty significant, not to mention the space savings and system integration that come with it.

I actually think this is a neat product. I'm sure I'm not the only one to have heard a friends say how great it would be to have speakers without any wires as they are a pain in the arse. Of course, I'm sure many of those people will turn their nose up when the see the price of these things.

I just looked quickly through the pages but I'm thinking that the speakers will still need to be plugged into the wall for power could still be a limiting factor on placement.

I'm thinking they would be great for a den or bedroom.

Hah! I guessed it, but didn't write it down. Shoot.

I think it will be in high demand. If its even mid level quality and priced right, it'll bring many into the hifi space, especially those who don't want the hassle of wiring, pairing components, etc. Heck, just think of all the bedrooms, workshops, boathouses, pools, cabanas, and so on just waiting for good music!

The whoosh you hear is the vacuum of desire being fulfilled. Hah!
