Default A blast from the past (Ferrari)

Was offered a ride in a 1971 365 GTB/4 (Daytona Coupe) today while visiting a local Ferrari dealer. Who's going to say "no" to an offer like that?

The car is now nearly 40 years old... a 4.4L V12 with 6 Weber downdraft carbs, good for 347hp and 0-60 in about 5 sec. Really not bad for a 40 year old car.

The sound, the smell, the feel... The car is so much more "raw" and has much more "character" than the modern cars of today... What a blast it was to go for a ride in this finely preserved specimen of a vintage Ferrari...

The "smell" is likely from not having cats. Something people aren't used to anymore.

Well, yes... Nothing like the aroma of a V12 out the exhaust pipes with virtually no pollution control.

Very nice! Nothing like the smell of petrol and rubber in the morning to get the pulse going!
