Dan....my comment to Ivan about seeing the Accuphase rig in person in the near future was intended to be a veiled hint to Ivan that I'm planning on driving down to pick up the MCD1000, rather than having it shipped. I didn't know Ivan would run with it!

My lips are sealed until I have it, and at that time I will start a new thread...

You might be the only person in the US with the privilege to listen to this Accuphase system.
There may be a few more people in the club over here in Europe.

Did a DG-48 (I had bought in 2011) vs. DG-58 (digital domain only, analog not used!) comparison yesterday at my place.
Voicing correction on each of the two machines and just swapping the HS-Link cables.
My dealer had to part without his DG-58 at the end of the evening. The improvement in naturalness and lifeliness was almost unbelievable.
But then in the 40+ years of their existence, Accuphase never (absolutely no exception) came out with a new model which was not audibly
a step forward from its predecessor.

Sorry for the moment.
I haven't even been able to get decent pics of my old Accuphase system yet to put it on sale.
And I don't think I'd ever come close to the fantastic picture quality Ivan shows to all of us in this thread.
