Next: ARC/Wilson Audio/Ayre
The Ref6 The Ref75 The Yvette's derriere... And front: DAC: Ayre Source was an iPad, and that didn't go smoothly. There were a lot of pauses without music. When there was sound, it was very good though. I asked about the DAC9. The importer told me the new DAC is not reliable enough yet to demo. I found he made a good choice with the small Ayre. The new 'kid in town':

Next room: Dali/NAD
I think the amp was a 368, retail <1K. The Opticon 6 played very nicely. A modest system, very well done. Price/quality ratio in the top 3 of the show.

T+A/Dynaudio
Dynaudio Contour, I forgot the exact model: T+A R-series I know the T+As very well, have heard them on numerous occasions. Always good to excellent. I have heard splendid demos with Dynaudio. But I did not like this set very much. The room? The synergy?

Probably the most expensive room: KEF/Chord
The demoed the LS 50, Muon, and Blade 2s. Each time 15 minutes. When I entered the room, these wireless little buggers were giving their best: Quite nice. But I came for these! Impressive Chord mono blocks: The alien like Chord DAC, that got fantastic reviews in the UK: The 200K Muons from behind:

Waiting for the Muons, I killed my time by looking around in the room.

I waited until the next model was demoed... but it was the Blade 2...
Not that the Blade 2 is a bad speaker, on the contrary. I heard it in March, and it was impressive, driven by MF NuVista. So I decided to do some other rooms meanwhile. I did return, on 2 occasions even, but it was each time the LS50, or the Blades that played. Well, next time! There was enough to enjoy. Stay tuned, more later this week, with a couple of nice surprises/innovations.

Thanks a lot for this terrific report as always. To answer your question about Devialet / Spendor, I guess that Devialet is fed up about people considering them cold or sterile. So they chose a "warm" brand. Anyway people buying Devialet usually do not buy Spendor and the reverse is true too. No matter if Devialet plays with Spendor or Harbeth or other warm speakers. I find them cold and completely boring.
