These were at RMAF. I was somewhat impressed, but I don't think it's some kind of "giant killer". Separate components with well designed passive speakers outperforms it in my opinion, even at the same approximate price point. But I do agree these take a lot of the guesswork out, you can plop them in any room and get great sound.

A very good review of Kii THREE has just been released by Martin Colloms.

Opinions are just that, but his is quite the opposite: Kii THREE match or surpass many traditional systems several times their price.

Martin Colloms is one of the reviewers I really like and trust.

I’ve heard them a few times and was quite impressed. A lot of speaker for the money. Great technology.

I’ve been enjoying a vinyl resurgence with the purchase of a new turntable. I wonder if vinyl makes any sense with the Kii. Why would you even bother to convert analog to digital instead of an all digital feed?

The ADC is transparent by all accounts, so it'll still sound like vinyl, unfortunately

Some Kii users still prefer vinyl to digital sources, so go figure...

Jacques,

I never should have read this thread of your. Never.

I then had the opportunity to listen to a "mere" 2.0 set of Threes in Brazil a few days ago and... well I need to figure out how to go about this and not have my wife divorce me. I need these!

Managed to work out a price with Chris R. (to have them delivered in my country) but Paola the Missus is making it very, very hard on me.

I will succeed eventually!

Regards
Fer (yes they always are the ones wearing the pants in any household)

Fernando, that means you will be able to sell your current speakers, your amp, some cables.
After a while, when the Missus is used to the Kiis, you'll buy the bass modules.
