Ha ha ha, excellent post and comments.
Adding my own philosophical two cents, all art is context. It is seen or heard within the context of each person’s individual experiences and thoughts. How else could the cheaper-than-cheap, low-fi receiver with built-in 8-track tape player of my teenage years have sounded more glorious than the supremely hi-fi McIntosh and Sonus Faber system of my later years? As a guy who adores audio, I just want return to my youth and fall in love again for the first time while listening to AM radio in the car. ron
