Can Porsche move used certified cars off their lots across state lines like CarMax does -- to a very interested & determined customer? Just askin'

Best Sirs,

Bob

Just a thought: No need to fly your own mechanic. Just get a PPI done by a dealer close to where vehicle is located.

My Porsche mechanic is like my Amex - don't leave home without it. I've bought three and he traveled with me to all of them (obsessive and ridiculous, I'm sure).

Hi ,

There's a 993 turbo for sale at the Pelican Parts forum Cars for sale . Go for the turbo. I rode one back in the day and the car went 300kph as shown in the speedometer. Compared to my 89 930 mine felt primitive and raw.

Best Sirs,

Bob

Yes. Any dealer (Porsche or other brand) can sell you a certified car and have it shipped to you.

Not sure they (AD) are in the business of certifying 20 plus year old cars, though. I guess they might have the occasional trade in, but these days I don't see many 993 owners trading in their cars for a new one... it would not be the best financial decision with the increased resale values of those.

In any event I put a word out to my local Porsche dealer, and they were going to check.

I'm also pursuing two cars now... fingers crossed! A lot of the fun is in the hunt!!

I stand corrected. You guys are right. Yo can go to the Porscheusa site and search their dealer network for pre-owned cars. Saw a few cars there that I hd seen on Ebay, etc.

Good to know, but most or all of the the cars are the same ones on Ebay...

Good luck w/the search. My dealer occasionally gets air-cooled era 911s in, but it's rare. I'd love to have a 993 some day if I have the space for multiple cars. Not so easy with city living!
