That's is a little too dear for my tastes. I did a Pappy flight of 12, 15, 17 and 20 yr bottles. Good bourbon, especially the 17 and 20 but not where I would spend that much money.

My go-to Bourbon is the Old Weller Antique (when I can find it). About a month ago, my wife was nice enough to drive all over town for me to grab three bottles when the liquor stores in Boise got a shipment in.

Last weekend I was lucky enough to taste a friends Poor Man's Pappy, a very good blend of Old Weller Antique and the W.L. Weller 12 Year. While I'm not lucky enough to compare it to the real Pappy, I must say it was very very good.

After years of enjoying Woodford, my nephew introduced me to Basil Hayden over Thanksgiving.
Really enjoyed it and picked up a bottle on the cheap today.
Gonna pour a neat and listen to some Lucinda Williams tonight.

Cheers.

There are numerous higher-end bourbons that are fantastic, but the real treat is when you find a low cost daily driver that is above average. I think a recent example of that, for me, would be Four Roses Single Barrel.

My most recent purchase is Harvey's Remnents from Whitmeyer's Distillery out of Houston.

Some nice pours I've enjoyed recently:
Elijah Craig Small Batch
Belle Meade Small Batch Sherry Cask Finish
Willett Pot Still Reserve
Noah's Mill and Rowan's Creek (also from Willett)
Garrison Brothers Single Barrel... but I'd like to try Barrel #6 if I can find it

I have a few bourbons on my list right now that I've not been able to source, but I'm always looking for great suggestions.

Cheers,
Clayton

The Four Roses and Elijah Craig are great, I'm not so much a fan of the willet and others though. If you're a Manhattan drinker, Old Overholt Rye is by far the best bang for the buck. It's priced like plastic bottle rotgut whiskey but it is quality. It is a bit of a bartender's secret.
