It is a blessing to have hair like that. The alternative is no hair...

Bach - The Orchestral Suites
La Petite Bande, Sigiswald Kuijken
via Qobuz

Received a '5 de Diapason', and was certainly added value to the practice today.

Another recommendation from last Stereophile.

Schumann: The Four Symphonies, Ouverture, Scherzo & Finale

Warner Classics (1973/2005), 24/96 files

Listening to symphonies 1 & 4 (disc 1) of this fine set.

Elgar: Cello Concerto in E minor;
Tchaikovsky: Variations on a Rococo Theme, Nocturne (from 6 Pieces for Piano), etc.
Johannes Moser (cello)
Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Andrew Manze
Pentatone (2017), via Qobuz

Excellent recording. MusicWeb International sums it up well:
“Here is a direct but compelling reading of the Elgar Cello Concerto, one that bares the work’s soul without necessitating a dry handkerchief. Its immediacy is in no small part due to the Pentatone recording, closely balanced, but in the warm and generous ambience of the Victoria Hall in Geneva.”
