I found it with only one component in my system so I'm happy that I don't have to change everything.
Congratulations and have a safe journey when you will move up the line !
Jerome, thank you! It is interesting, no rather fascinating that I hear more of a substantial difference with Shindo and it is so unique in its presentation as compared to so much of the gear I've owned in the past. Lamm and Shindo are by far my favorites with Shindo even pulling ahead of Lamm. Again, it is my taste and preference, I am not saying that everyone will love it and connect with it, plenty of other great gear out there for different taste.

Thanks. I see a Mr. T in your future.

Serge...sounds like you're enjoying the 'green side'. I agree with Tommy, I see a Mr. T in the future, a Garrad 301 and moving up the Shindo line. I've had the pleasure of listening to Shindo and nothing comes close to that wonderful sound. There's no turning back now...

There REALLY IS nothing like it....
Only after getting my Shindo - especially the Cortese - I fully understood what Stephen was saying and feeling ... i.e.: Either I am crazy or hearing "things" or this Shindo is the shizzle!

Not that I need other people's confirmation of my opinions, but it sure is nice when other people whose audio tastes I know and trust hear the same things and I and feel the same about them.

As Serge mentioned, the Shindo sound is at least a couple of standard deviations from what most people consider "the typical audiophile sound".

Upon re-reading my unabashedly gushing "review" of the Monbrison+Cortese (see here) where I compared the Shindo sound to a sensuous hot shower, I felt a bit embarrassed by my over-the-top writing. But that's what the Shindo sound does for people who have been searching for the kind of deliciousness that Shindo delivers.

I look forward to read more about Serge's Shindo saga.

Alberto

That answers one big question for me, i.e., your opinion of Shindo vis-a-vis Lamm. Your descriptions of the Lamm were very close to what I was hearing with Shindo and even made me consider Lamm, but I liked the "purity" of Shindo's all-tube, point-to-point wiring and NOS components.

I think what we all are saying in different ways is that Shindo is for MUSIC lovers...

Not necessarily audiophiles...

Nothing ,that I have found, draws you into the music like those funny little green boxes.

This thread is very dangerous.

Makes me keep thinking about the Kondo M1000MkII + Ongaku + Tannoy Westminsters which I put off due to safety for children concerns

Gonna be a few sleepless nights!
