The two amplifier models have different input sensitivities. The MC152 is rated at 1.2 volts unbalanced and 2.4 volts balanced. The MC1502 is rated at 1.7 volts unbalanced and 3.4 volts balanced. If the amps had level controls, then balancing their outputs into the Bryston speakers would be easy. Since the MC152 is more sensitive, you may have a bit too much output through the bass and lower midrange.

Jon, I'm glad you were able to hang in and make it through. I can't wait to hear all about your new system when its all up and running.

I can’t wait to see how you like the MC1502.

Congrats on the new job! I like the commitment. Lining up a new audio system before you've even started looking for a new house to put it all in. But this is how it should be. Build your house around your audio system. Not vice-versa.

My wife and and I are in the process of relocating for a new job (thankfully!). Rather than move all my gear, I decided to sell my entire system and start from scratch. We won’t be settled into a new home until the first of the year, but I decided to pull the trigger now to get my new system lined up. Everything is ordered with the exception of a rack

Here it is....

McIntosh:
• C22V
• MC1502
• MC152 (for biamp of T’s)
• MPC500

Marantz
• SACD 30n

Bryston
• Model T (thank you Ivan)

Harmonic Resolution Systems (from Ivan)
• E1 isolation bases for the 1502 and SACD 30n

Only thing left to still order. I’m undecided at this point.
Butcher Block Acoustics OR a Quadraspire rack
• 20” deep, 4 tier rack

Stay tuned!
I really like the Archetype Audio Stands from Salamander. Endless expansion plus you can add wheels which makes it really easy to get behind your system to make changes.
