Anyone having handshake issues with the SSP-800?

Mine was really acting up. No go with my monitor so I had to turn on my disc player before turning on the SSP and then turn on the monitor (Pioneer Kuro) otherwise it would fail to initialize - VERY annoying. I found myself unplugging the unit a lot to reset it.
A few weeks ago, the volume just gave out - no clicking at the 0db threshold or when pressing the mute function. I ended up having to send it back to Classe for repair - major bummer. Anyone experience similar issues or is this case specific?

The SSP 800 has always had some Handshaking issues...I run a PJ and my Kuro, funny enough it never has problems with the Kuro, just the PJ. I always wondered if it was due to the PJ being on a much longer HDMI.

One work around is to use the 2nd output on my Oppo Bluray and use it for PJ.

This is the only thing I can really complain about, and it usually is more annoying than anything else...waiting 10 seconds for it to sync instead of 1 second.
