Hi JayBass- Sounds great. My room is just under 24 feet long, and I actually sit at least 10 feet back right now. So 10-12ft is easily accomplished. My room width is not so generous, a tad over 12 feet, but I have a feeling it will be all good. Cheers -Don

Don, There is a "Listening" article in Stereophile that Art Dudley wrote about his Altec speakers and if I remember correctly, he built some small stands to elevate them. I do not know if they are the same model as what you are buying, but they sound like big fun!

Can't wait to hear about them.

Thanks Bill, I appreciate it. I have started running a signal through the 846A's.
I am using an old NAD receiver, a Sony Playstation 1, and Home Depot speaker wire. Their dynamics are very impressive so far.

Thanks for asking 755a. Not quite yet, but JH is expecting his next A23 order to deliver soon. The adapters should come with that order. He knows I'm anxious, and is always quick to respond. I tried to paste over the photos from the seller, but I couldn't get that to work. He actually took very nice photos. I will work on getting some photos over, if AA will allow. My membership ran out recently, and I have yet to rejoin. Cheers -Don

Relative to a primarily ARC system with the Valencia's, the Shindo Monbrison/Montille combination really does draw you in and makes you put aside that analytical part of the listening experience with its increased levels of musicality, detail and textures. Bear in mind that I'm saying this with the ModWright SACD player as the primary source (unfortunately, my Thorens TT in combination with the Shindo components has been producing a low hum which is a little distracting during quieter musical passages. Hopefully, I'll be able to troubleshoot this problem.)

Now you're cutting and pasting posts from other forums?

Too funny. That's parts of my original post on Agon. So much for original thoughts huh?

Jonathan, it was very nice meeting you at Matt's first Greenhaus event a couple of years ago. A fun evening!

Yes, that we a fun evening for sure. Maybe even more fun for Matt's local liqueur store!

Original thoughts.. yep, with Uwe Seck i.e. schmitz and various other user names that have been banned, no original thoughts are to be had.
