Dan - did not realize you were a Casio sort of guy. To each their own.
Will bow to crowd and run it up the RSC in NYC. Headed up mid-July.

Your right but there is something about a mechanical time piece that is enjoyable besides it being jewelry

Don't recall the status of electronic watches when I purchased my Rolex those many years ago (think I said it was 1969, but was 1970 as it was the year I made it to Rio for Carnival), but am thinking they may not have existed or were very new. IIRC, the Pulsar came out a few years later and was one of the first electronic wrist-watches.

Mike.......I have a preference for Tag Heuer. I have a couple Seiko Kenetic watches and a Seiko Chronograph quartz watch I like, too. This is my Tag Aquaracer.

Nice! Here's my oldie but goodie. I owned it when it was only a Heuer. I sent to to Tag Heuer for a new case years ago and they needed to change out the dial to the Tag/Heuer.

Mike.......Great looking Tag. A good friend wore the 1000 for years. Admiring it was part of the catalyst to buy my Tag. My comment about the Casio was in jest but I do have a Casio digital watch in a plastic case with a rubber band that is over 20 years old and is still keeping perfect time. I used to wear it when I worked in hot electrical panels. It's non-conductive case and band was much safer than a chunk of stainless steel on my wrist moving around in areas with live circuits. Marlene gave it to me many moons ago so I can't toss it.

Didn't mean to hi-jack the Rolex thread. Sorry Glenn.
