I started with one MC275 Mk5 and from there moved to two of the new Mk6's in mid 2012. I have enjoyed these with my B&W 802 Diamonds but am so curious how two MC601s SS will sound that I may be willing to change out. I am wondering to the point I may now be wiling to sell one or possibly both of the MC275 Mk6s. This will be hard for me to do as i become so attached to every piece of gear. (I still use in my office a 30 year old NAD 3020 with 30 year old Cornwall I.) If anyone has an interest in two new (2012) MK6s I will post in marketplace.

Mark,

The C2300 plus the MC601's will be a great combo. I had the 601's and really enjoyed them.

Default ode to the 275

"Ode to my 275"

There once was a man who needed music to thrive
so he went to his dealer and brought home a McIntosh 275

To the preamp and the speakers, the connections he made
then he turned on his source and on his one person sofa he laid

His mind went blank and work seemed so far away
Indeed for hours despite his wife's calling he stay

Far away from all he listened until he was full
Classical, rock, jazz, the sound always seemed so musical

Then one day while typing and reading and dreaming on Audioaficionado
he spotted and instrument and he knew he could not say no

The 2301 with its bigger size and massive headroom
yanked him off his feet as if he was swept by a broom

He got them in Mono because he wanted the decibels to go to 105
It was not long before he typed onto the forum " I know I am alive"

Minutes, days, months and a year passed like it was a breath
It wasn't until his started yellin that he realized he had gone deaf

How about an MC275LE heater for the cold winter? I'm in love with these amps!
