No problem with Capt F. I found his LED sets before anyone else's actually and he does have a long list of Mc Units he sells kits on Ebay for. He also communicated quickly with me regarding my questions so that impressed me, but I have yet to find any AA or AK folks who have put his kits into their units, so was just looking for some first hand reporting.

Anyone know if there are extended life versions of the stock incandescents? My MC 7104 is gentle on bulbs, but in less than 4 years after 100% replacement, my MC 202's are starting to die.

Member 'dwojo' on the Audio-Karma forum sells long-life bulbs for most all gear, including McIntosh. David a good guy to deal with. Reasonable pricing and fast shipment.

Thanks. Has anyone really verified there is really such a thing as long life versions? Audio Classics does not offer. Happy to pay more for long life if they really are in fact same.

When I had a C2200 with dim bulbs AudioClassics had an LED kit for it. I believe I paid $299 about 6 yrs ago.

Does anyone know if on the MC 202-type units there are bulb "condoms" on the bulbs to create the appropriate color, e.g. blue or green and if so, are these prone to wear, cracking etc.? I want to do all my 10 bulbs, but don't want to get in there and find I need more parts.
