It's not a network problem. The laptop is 9 years old and since it's an ultra portable, the ROM drive connects via USB. I've borrowed a slightly newer laptop with a built in drive running XP and I'm down to less than 10 minutes per disk. You didn't say if you were running 64 bit Windows 7 though. Are you?

Just in case this ends up in somebody's search results, I'll post my findings. First, ControlPC does work in 64bit Windows 7. After the 324 update, I was able to import folders. I still couldn't import from disk so I dug out an old EIDE Lite-On DVD R/W drive I had and added that to my computer. Now I can import from disk. The drive that wouldn't work for me was a SATA Pioneer BDR-205. It's been ripping everything from CD's to BD's for over a year for me, but for some reason ControlPC doesn't like it.
