When my xa160.5s warm after about 3 hours they sound so much better then when you first turn them on. So I don't do any listening till they are warmed up. I leave them on all weekend long.

George,
The sweet spot on my XA-100.5s seems to be a two hour warm-up, although they do sound modestly better after three hours. I turn mine on the minute I get home from work. That way they are fully warmed up for after dinner listening and I save on my electric bill. Ken |

This is what the Pass INT30A manual says regarding warm-up:
This generation of amplifiers warms up faster and is more bias-stable during warm up than previous versions, but we still recommend an hour for critical listening. At the factory we adjust the bias and offset values initially and then after warm-up and then again after 48 hours, if necessary. The “sweet spot” is a sink temperature between 50 and 55 degrees C., but this is not critical, and will vary with your room temperature. |
