Thanks for the feedback. What is the better solution? What do I tell my electrician?

Chris... do you have the ability to run dedicated lines? If you can, or already have them, make sure that both Amps are fed off the same phase from the electrical panel.

Hey Ivan,
Yes - I had a dedicated 20 amp line run for the amps. I had the p10 plugged into a non-dedicated 15 amp line.

Rule #1. Never run just (1) dedicated line. You will always need more and it’s more economical than calling electrician back. Personally, I would want (3) 20 amp lines in your system, at a minimum (2). Just because you own a P10 does not mean you don’t want a 20 amp dedicated line feeding it. Another line may get rid of your hum and if not it will benefit the P10. And talk to Ivan about Furutech outlets too. It all matters.

Ground loop problems can be difficult to diagnose and correct, but the problem may be due to a difference in ground potential between your dedicated 20 amp line run for the amps and your non-dedicated 15 amp line. I'd suggest having your electrician check the ground potential on those two lines and take whatever steps are necessary to have a common ground on both circuits, or only use the 20 amp circuit for powering all components and see if the hum is eliminated.

Hello,

Thanks for your suggestions. Yes - I did try that as the 20amp line terminates into a four/quad outlet. The hum remained. I’ll get an electrician out to look.

I have tried that. The electrician was here several hours, and he was very helpful, but we never found the source of the hum. I have three dedicated 20 amps circuits and several 15 amp circuits. All the dedicated circuits are on the same phase.

I have that with mc501. Replace xrl cable, no more humming sound.
