Looks like a sad dog. I'd never buy it.
Cut off the bottom part and you have a nice amplifier.

Highly unlikely. Previous video disc player suppliers were Denon and Oppo, neither are making disc players anymore. Mcintosh worked with Panasonic long time ago. Something based on the current Panasonic UHD player is a minor but only hope.
