This is a great idea. I like it.

Where I live in North Dakota a conservative estimate would be at least 80% of homes have guns in them. Some homes have many guns. Burglary of a private home is almost unheard of around here. Occasionally a business will be broken into but that only happens maybe once in two years and it's usually kids doing it.

Except for the 40 below zero winters it is a nice place. I don't consider myself to be excessively armed and I have three handguns and about 8 rifles. I have collector friends with 40 or more guns in their homes.

Funny, we have gun control here and live in some of the safest neighborhoods in the country - and the weather is great to boot.

And no idiots with idiot signs, either. Well, we get a few - but nothing like that one or "Take your Government Hands Off My Medicare!"

You are right, that is funny!

Look at this...
San Francisco Crime Statistics (CA) - CityRating.com

In San Francisco, according to the FBI, in 2003...

The Murder rate per capita was 117% the national average...
The robbery rate was 181% the national average...
All violent crime was 124% the national average
Theft was 111% the national average...
Car theft was 151% the national average...
Property crime was 112% the national average.

How is this one of the safest places in America?

Who said I live in SF proper?

Even then, you take one of the top 10 major metropolitan cities in the country and try to rate its crime statistics? That's like trying to separate Manhattan and calling that "The only part of NYC we'll rate, leave Queens and the Bronx out of the statistics."

And I'm still more than comfortable walking in the middle of the night just about anywhere in SF or Manhattan. You probably would see me driving quickly in another direction from a "sign" like that one. Don't you know gangbangers have horrible aim? Those honkey tonk NRA types can shoot the wings off a flea.

When you have a small town people act more respectful because everyone knows each other. When you have a city where the chances of someone knowing you diminishes you have higher crime. I love to visit San Francisco but I would not want to live there.

If it becomes a crime to own guns then the only people that will have guns will be criminals and the government.

More like idiots with signs that say "Give me more entitlements."

Oh and once "The People" rely completely on the government for every aspect of their life the government will need their guns to control and ration the entitlements to the population.
